Vacuums

Carwash customers value the convenience of having a powerful vacuum to clean out the interiors of their cars.  Carwash owners enjoy the income from a low maintenance piece of equipment.

Features to look for...
2 motors vs. 3 motors.  Many of the vacuum manufactures offer 2 and 3 motor options. The advantages of having a third motor include higher suction. This can be important at higher altitudes but may not be noticeable to the regular carwash customer. Also if the vacuum is remotely mounted or uses a long length of hose the third motor may be a better choice. Another reason to consider is if one of three motors is out, it is not nearly as noticeable as one of two being out.
More filtration. Most of the vacuums offer four filter bags. This gives a large total area of filtration to reduce the lose of suction to the filter.
Hose.
2" hose is less likely to get plugged with debris than a 1½" hose.

Car Wash Vacuums

Carwash vacuums are coin operated and use an acceptor and a timer. The coins are stored in a coin box or dropped down to a vault. Typically mounted to an 'island' they can also be in a dual configuration. Meaning that one vacuum can be used by both sides of the island at the same time.

Commercial Vacuums

Commercial vacuums use a simple on/off switch instead of a timer and coin acceptor. Used by fleet vehicle maintenance personnel to keep many cars clean rather than by customers. These units can be remotely mounted to cut down on noise.

Combination Vacuums

Combination vacuums offer the convenience of having a vacuum in combination with an other service such as shampoo, fragrance or tire air. This gives the customer added incentive. The customer may start using the vac, switch to the shampoo or fragrance or use the tire air then switch to the vac. This is basically offering more services in the same amount of space.

Vacuum Parts

Eventually everything needs some repair. Motors need to have the brushes replaced regularly. There are colored vacuum hoses that will coordinate with your design scheme as well as different size and shape claw and crevice tools. And hangers to keep the tools and hose up out of the way. Timers can be upgraded or replaced as well as acceptors and discriminators. Filters and gaskets wear out and must be replaced. Damaged hinges, doors and latches and locks.
