360° boom 180° boom Zierco 204 Style C Zierco Twin 360°	Without a boom the bay hose would lay on the ground, get walked on and run over making it constantly dirty and needing to be replaced much more frequently. It would snag on the bumpers and mirrors causing damage to customer vehicles and being a safety hazard as well. The boom gets the hose up and off the floor. It makes dragging the hose around the bay easier and helps to keep the hose off of the ground and off of the customers vehicle.

	Windtrax 360° Overhead Boom 360° Overhead Boom is the preferred boom style. It is generally mounted in the center of the ceiling to give the maximum access around the bay. The boom should be mounted securely to a solid base with appropriate fasteners. There are certain applications where an overhead boom is not practical and in these cases the 180° boom should be used. On Windtrax booms the bearings and the swivels are separate allowing for worn parts to be repaired or replaced at a modest cost. The bearings in this type of boom may last many years before replacement but should be serviced regularly to deliver the most useful live expectancy. 	Maxie 180° Foam Brush Boom Although either type of boom can be used in a bay, generally one will find the 360° boom used for the spray gun and a 180° boom used for a foam brush. The 180° boom must be mounted securely to the wall or other surface and can be used for the spray gun if no ceiling or clear overhead mounting is available. 	Zierco 204 Style C Complete Boom Assembly The Zierco boom uses a cartridge for the bearing and the swivel. Zierco car wash booms permit 360° of free and easy swivel rotation around a vehicle in a 12 foot diameter. A popular option is the Zierco Lo-Tork boom hose swivel which gives 360° of rotation at the nozzle eliminating hose twisting and kinking.
