Installation & Instruction Manual

Mounting the Machine Walt Mount
Drill (4) 3/8” holes—(1) on each corner as shown. The machine should be elevated at least 36” to allow for water column and flapper valve. You may use long bolts or all-tread to secure the machine to the wall. Make sure the equipment is leveled. The flapper valve through a wall, simply add 2” coupler and additional piece of 2” PVC pipe.

Pedestal Mount
Secure machine to pedestal utilizing the stud mounts. Secure base of pedestal to concrete slab with 1/2” lag bolts and anchors, epoxy insert or bolts embedded in slab.

Installing the Injector Valve
See the insert on the installation of the Dema 200 3C injector valve. Cut injector into machines water supply inside the pump room or service area. The correct bushing and meter screw are factory installed and preset. For best results, the injector should be installed in a vertical position. This insures back pressure on the valve and maintains the consistent siphon effect.

Electrical Requirement
The machine requires (2) 15 amp 110 vac circuits. One circuit wilt provide service for the water heater. The other circuit will provide service for the timer, coin drop, vacuum motor and solenoid valve.

Water Heater Installation
The unit requires a minimal 1/4 water feed. The injector valve will be cut into this line somewhere in the pump room or service area for shampoo feed. The water heater requires a separate 15 amp 110 vac circuit The circuit should include a case ground. A ground fault interrupter is suggested but not required. The heater is equipped with a temperature and pressure valve and an easy access drain plug. The unit must be filled With water before the unit is powered. Failure to fill the unit before activation will result in element failure. Burp water heater by pulling open T & P valve, remove air. The water heater should be drained periodically to reduce sludge build-up.

Cleaning the Filter
To clean the filter assembly, lift filter assembly from vac tube and remove. Place left hand on 1” PVC tubing. Place disk in right hand and rotate 45 degree. Disk will break away from tubing assembly (see diagram). Filter assembly can now be completely removed and cleaned.

Freeze Protecting the Unit
The water supply to the unit must be well insulated. In areas of extreme cold, a thermostatically controlled heat tape should be installed at time of installation. The water heater will not freeze. However, if you choose to turn the machine off, you must drain water heater and remove water line for winterization. The 1112” cleaning hose can be quick-disconnected from the water feed and vac canister and quickly reconnect for service during winter thaw days. You will experience high usage on these thaw days if machine is left operational. Remove and replace cleaning hose as weather permits Second hose head assemblies are available for your purchase.

Shampoo
Most types of low foaming hot water extraction shampoo work in the unit. Soaping action will depend on the water quality used in the machine. Usually mix two parts water to one part shampoo in a five gallon bucket. You can regulate the mix depending on hardness of the water. Soft water is best.

Maintenance Schedule
  1. Filter should be cleaned every 2—3 weeks.
  2. Remove vac hose from vac chamber and remove any debris accumulation between water line and vac hose every two to three weeks.
  3. Check flapper valve every 2—3 weeks and remove any build-up which may exist.
  4. Check shampoo bucket monthly.
  5. Remove vac motor from unit by unscrewing wing nuts yearly; check for rust, any carpet fiber or build-up. Brushes should be checked for wear and replaced if necessary.
  6. Drain water heater by opening T & P valve and unscrewing drain plug. This will remove scale and hard water deposits from the tank. The shampoo mix will inhibit build-up on the heating element. However, element is simple to remove if there is reason to suspect scaling. Simply remove element, scrape and replace. Be sure to fill water heater to capacity before the unit is powered. Element failure will occur if tank is dry.

Trouble Shooting
  1. No Vac If motor is running, check seal on vac canister. Make sure vac hose is free of obstruction. Check flapper valve. Make sure flapper is free swinging.
  2. No Shampoo Check siphon valve — disconnect shampoo hose. Turn machine on and tape trigger in open position. Place finger on shampoo inlet. You should feel suction. If not, remove valve and clean with a fine wire to clear obstruction in valve.
  3. No Water Flow Check solenoid valve. Place
hand on solenoid valve — activate machine. Valve should click indicating that valve is opening. If so, check water lines for obstruction. Check hand tool valve; lubricate.
  4. Will Not Accept Coins See insert on GS Coin Acceptor. Adjust sensitivity. Replace coin specimen.
  5. Not Hot Water Remove water heater cover.
Push reset button. Check with voltage meter. Replace element 110— 1500 watts from hardware store.
