CONTACTLESS PAYMENT UNIT NEXT GENERATION
CryptoTap Plus is the latest and most innovative addition to CryptoPay's product line yet! As cashless payments are becoming the norm for an increasing majority of the population, it became obvious that a device that could handle all the new touchless payments was needed for the car wash industry. Cue the CryptoTap Plus unit. CryptoPay already had a tap unit, but required the swiper to function. This standalone unit functions without the swiper. It also has a smaller footprint, meaning it takes up less space on your coin and meter boxes. A tap-to-pay symbol is placed in the center of each device that helps customers quickly identify how to make a payment and where to present their card or phone for the reader to accept payment.
This cashless card reader is designed specifically for the harsh environment of the car washes and accepts many touchless payment options. Your customers can pay using EMV-enabled credit and debit cards and mobile wallets, including Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other providers.
Additionally, the CryptoTap Plus unit boasts a QR and Barcode Scanner. This allows customers to easily scan QR codes and coupons you create for free washes, discounts, or custom promotions.

What is the Push Button and How Do You Use It?
The CryptoTap Plus includes a push button that should be installed near the unit. In count-up mode, customers must push this button to stop charges when they're finished washing or vacuuming. In count-down mode, the button is used to add more time before the cycle ends. A 16mm (approximately 5/8") panel cutout hole must be drilled for mounting. For visibility to the customer, and because the button is wired directly to the CryptoTap Plus, the hole should be drilled within a couple inches of the unit. The button light can be either red or green depending on preference. For red push button light, connect push button blue wire to CryptoTap Plus blue wire and push button white to wire to CryptoTap Plus white wire. For green button light, reverse these wires (blue to white and white to blue).
